Vijay Krishna Mohan was a filmmaker, musician, activist, author, and beloved member of the PAAFF staff who passed away in 2015 after a cycling accident, Starting in 2015 we began giving an award in his name to the film or filmmaker who best embodies Vijay's spirit of transformative change through media.
We felt that Dear Thalia was the most deserving film because of the positive impact it has had in the Martin family's lives, and your film's broader potential for creating dialogue on the many causes of homelessness.
